Tensions flared in the Legislative Assembly today when Minister Keerthana alleged widespread corruption in the issuance of firecracker licenses. Her remarks triggered an immediate protest from DMK members, who stood up in the house to voice their strong opposition.
Amid the ensuing commotion, Sengottaiyan intervened to address the protesting legislators. He pointed out that the Minister had spoken generally about corruption without naming any specific political party, questioning why the DMK members felt compelled to object.
