The death toll from severe flooding in Nepal has risen to 1,127, according to local police. While 6,541 people have been rescued from affected areas, search operations remain underway for 4,858 missing individuals. Symbolic funeral rites were held at the Pashupatinath Temple for victims whose bodies have not been recovered.
India continues to provide relief support, with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar confirming that a fifth Indian Air Force flight has delivered 11 rescue personnel and 5.5 tonnes of essential medical supplies. Meanwhile, the Nepalese Foreign Ministry reported that 324 foreign nationals have been rescued. The Nepal Tourism Board noted that five individuals previously listed as missing have made contact via phone and email, though the search continues for 590 other missing foreign nationals.
