The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has issued a warning regarding the potential formation of three severe cyclones in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal between October and December 2026. Satellite data and meteorological analysis indicate that these storms are expected to develop across the North Indian Ocean region.
ISRO projects that these cyclones will be significantly more intense and destructive than the 44-year historical average, citing wind speeds and humidity levels as key factors. In response, coastal districts and relevant state governments have been placed on high alert and advised to implement necessary precautionary measures to mitigate the impact of heavy rainfall and storm damage.
