Beyond regional security, the declaration includes a strong condemnation of terrorism, specifically citing the April 2025 attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The member states also voiced opposition to unilateral trade tariffs and coercive economic sanctions, reaffirming their commitment to a multilateral trading framework centered on the World Trade Organization.
