The DMK has initiated preliminary discussions in New Delhi to explore the formation of a political front that excludes both the BJP and the Congress. The party aims to consolidate support by reaching out to regional groups within the I.N.D.I.A. bloc that have developed ideological or strategic differences with the Congress.
As part of these efforts, DMK leader Kanimozhi recently met with Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai. While official reports suggested the meeting focused on constituency delimitation, sources indicate that the discussion served as a foundational step toward establishing this alternative political alliance.
