Namo Drone Didi Scheme Empowers Rural Women, Modernizes Agriculture
The Central Government has launched the "Namo Drone Didi Scheme" to transform rural women into entrepreneurs and modernize agricultural practices. This initiative officially provides a comprehensive support package, including an 80% subsidy, financial assistance up to ₹8 lakh, and free drone pilot training along with a license.Eligibility for the scheme is specific. It is exclusively available to Women's Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Furthermore, applying SHGs must be registered under the Central Government's Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).A key requirement for the drone pilot is that the selected woman from the SHG must be over 18 years old and have completed at least the 10th grade.
