District Collector Anand Mohan has announced that a Farmer Identification Number is now mandatory for accessing government agricultural welfare schemes. Farmers have until August 25, 2026, to complete their registration. Those who have already obtained an identification number are required to update their records by linking any missing land survey numbers.
To register, farmers must provide their Aadhaar number, the mobile number linked to their Aadhaar, and relevant land ownership documents. This registration process is free of charge and can be completed at local agriculture or horticulture department offices. Alternatively, farmers may visit their nearest Common Service Center to finalize the process.
