The Akhila India Suriya Head Welfare Association has announced that actor Suriya has no intention of entering politics. This clarification comes after a speech by Veeramani at a state-district administrators' meeting on June 28, 2026, was misrepresented on social media.
Veeramani, who participated as a special speaker, explicitly stated that his views were personal. However, his address was misinterpreted and circulated on social media, creating the impression that it was the official stance of the fan club. The association urged the public not to believe or pay attention to such misinformation.
Furthermore, the association clarified that Veeramani has not been involved in the club's administration for the past three years. Suriya, it stated, finds immense joy and satisfaction in continuing social services through the Agaram Foundation and the Welfare Association.
