Heavy rainfall in Kerala has increased the inflow into the Kabini Dam to 15,500 cusecs. To ensure the safety of the structure, authorities have begun releasing 10,000 cusecs of water from the reservoir.
Residents living along the riverbanks have been advised to exercise caution and remain vigilant due to the increased water discharge. Officials expect the released water to reach the Mettur Dam within the next two days.
