Devotees celebrate Aadi Perukku despite low Cauvery water levels

Despite significantly lower water levels in the Cauvery River this year, large crowds of devotees gathered at the Bhavani Kooduthurai confluence to celebrate the Aadi Perukku festival. Although the river has not experienced its customary seasonal surge during the month of Aadi, worshippers assembled along the riverbanks to perform traditional rituals and prayers.
