Authorities have increased the water discharge from the Kabini dam from 25,000 cubic feet per second (cusecs) to 27,000 cusecs as the reservoir nears its full capacity. The decision was taken to manage rising inflow levels.
Currently, the dam's water level stands at 2,282.59 feet against its maximum capacity of 2,284 feet. The reservoir is receiving an inflow of 31,746 cusecs.
