The Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (Tasmac) is launching a new e-commerce portal, Tasmace2e.in, to modernize liquor sales. Starting Thursday, customers can browse live inventory across more than 4,000 outlets, make digital payments, and collect their purchases from a chosen location.
The initiative is designed to curb overcharging and ensure transparency regarding MRP and supplier details. Users must confirm they are at least 21 years old to access the portal. Once logged in, customers can search for shops within a 5km to 25km radius or filter outlets by district and shop number.
Tasmac sources confirmed that the system allows for flexible ordering, enabling a customer in one city to purchase liquor from a shop in another location and complete the transaction digitally. The move aims to eliminate the need for long queues and provide better access to stock information.
