The Tamil Nadu government has officially renamed its 'Kalaignar Kanavu Illam' housing scheme to 'Vetriyin Veedu'. State Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu confirmed the change in the project's nomenclature.
Under this initiative, the government plans to approve the construction of 70,000 houses during the first year, with an allocated budget of 3,000 crore rupees.
