Student dies in train accident while heading to college

An 18-year-old student, Rajeshri, died after being struck by an express train while attempting to cross a railway gate in Chromepet, Chennai. The daughter of Srinivasan and Gomathi, she was on her way to attend her first day of classes at a private engineering college in Kattankulathur.

The incident occurred when the student tried to cross the tracks while the railway gate was closed. She was hit by the passing express train and died at the scene, leaving the local community in deep shock.
