We The Leaders president Annamalai has alleged that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) ministers are demanding commissions on tender contracts, claiming he possesses audio evidence to support these accusations. Speaking at an environmental awareness event in Egmore, Chennai, he urged Chief Minister J. Joseph Vijay to take a firm stance against corruption, noting that ministers are reportedly seeking kickbacks ranging from 2 to 4 percent. He called on the Chief Minister to curb these practices immediately.
Annamalai further demanded an allocation of 10 billion rupees for government schools and rural development, alongside 25 billion rupees over five years for education and water management projects. He urged the Chief Minister to move beyond decision-making in the capital and conduct direct field inspections in rural areas. Highlighting concerns over global warming and water management, he also stressed the urgent need to raise public awareness regarding the shrinking green cover in Chennai.
