Opposition figures have raised concerns regarding the DMK government's housing and infrastructure policies. Bussy Anand stated that housing projects sanctioned during the current administration remain incomplete, noting that the allocated grant of 3.5 lakh rupees is insufficient to cover construction costs.
Meanwhile, I. Periyasamy highlighted a sharp increase in the prices of M-sand and gravel, which has significantly impacted building expenses. Addressing the management of resources, Prabhu questioned the government on the distribution of surplus gravel, noting that 85 million metric tons were produced during the DMK's tenure and demanding clarification on where the remaining supplies were directed.
