The Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) has raised the procurement price for Aavin milk to Rs 41 per litre, marking a Rs 3 increase from the previous rate. The party had initially pledged in its election manifesto to increase the procurement price to Rs 44 per litre.
Additionally, the party announced a new initiative under the Livestock and Dairy Development Scheme. This program aims to improve the livelihoods of two lakh families by providing them with milch cows and goats at no cost.
