The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has expelled two party members, Ezhumalai and Gowtham, from the Thaiyur panchayat in the Thiruporur union. S. Kumaravel, the party's Chengalpattu East district secretary, announced the decision to remove both individuals from all party positions, including their status as primary members.
The disciplinary action follows allegations linking Ezhumalai to the murder of a youth named Praveen, who was reportedly in a relationship with Ezhumalai's daughter. Following the expulsion, the party leadership has issued a directive strictly prohibiting all party officials and volunteers from maintaining any contact with the two individuals.
