The Election Commission of India has officially recognized the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as a registered political party. The commission has also approved the party's whistle symbol, which was previously associated with the movement's democratic initiatives.
TVK leader Vijay expressed his joy regarding the official recognition. In a statement, he addressed his supporters, stating, "My people, my kin, I am happy to inform you that the Election Commission has recognized not only our party but also the whistle symbol that silently fueled our democratic revolution."
