Bengaluru police have arrested Viresh Kumar Jain, the owner of Krupa Healthcare near Minerva Circle, for selling expired cancer medications with counterfeit labels. The arrest followed a joint raid conducted by the police and the Drugs Control Department, which uncovered a large cache of expired drugs rebranded under the names of reputable pharmaceutical companies.
Investigations revealed that the suspect was selling these expired medications at a 50 percent discount. Authorities have also confirmed that the counterfeit drugs were distributed to more than 90 hospitals and clinics across Bengaluru.
