Over 100 short-term tenders issued after TVK came to power have been cancelled. An order has been issued cancelling over 100 short-term tenders in departments including Rural Development, Transport, Public Works, Electricity, Chennai Corporation, Municipal Administration and Water Supply, due to administrative reasons.
Short-term tenders published from May 13 to May 22 have been cancelled. Following the formation of the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam government, instructions were given not to undertake works through short-term tenders, leading to the cancellation of various tenders.
