IAF AN-32 Transport Aircraft Crashes in Assam, 5 Dead

An Indian Air Force (IAF) AN-32 transport aircraft crashed at Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam, resulting in the deaths of five personnel. The aircraft lost control and caught fire upon impact while attempting to land. The deceased have been identified as Squadron Leader Prashant Singh, Pilot Lieutenant Shubham Kumar, Sergeant Jitendra Sharma, K. Maram Kumawat, and Danish Alam. The co-pilot reportedly survived the crash with injuries. Senior IAF officials visited the accident site for inspection. The Air Force has announced that a judicial inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh extended his condolences to the families of the five personnel who lost their lives.
