The Food and Drug Administration has issued formal notices to Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff. The action follows their participation in promotional campaigns for a brand of chewing elaichi.
In a notice dated August 14, the FDA stated that these advertisements violate the provisions of the FSSAI Act, 2006, and its subsequent amendments. The actors have been featured in extensive advertising campaigns for the product across various media platforms.
The regulatory body's decision highlights concerns regarding the promotion of the product. The actors are now under scrutiny for their involvement in these widespread marketing efforts.
