A 68-year-old woman named Hoor, who spent her life begging, has died from an age-related illness at her home in Mandya, Karnataka. Following her death, locals discovered more than 30 sacks filled with currency notes and coins inside her rented residence.
The recovered cash, which included denominations of Rs 10, Rs 20, and Rs 50, totaled Rs 8,40,000 after being counted by local residents. Hoor had lived in the house with her sister, who passed away two years ago, and neither woman had been married.
The entire sum of money was handed over to the deceased woman's brothers. One brother received Rs 6 lakh, while the other brother accepted Rs 2,40,000, which he subsequently donated to a local mosque.
