Assam floods death toll reaches 82

The death toll from the severe flooding in Assam has risen to 82. The disaster has also left approximately 178,000 people displaced from their homes. The state government is currently conducting intensive rescue operations to reach individuals still trapped in areas where floodwaters have yet to recede.
